Is a design patent available in Turkey?
“Design patent” is a common international search term, but Turkey protects a product’s visual appearance through industrial design registration rather than a US-style design patent. Technical function may require a separate patent or utility model assessment. We identify the correct protection route before filing.
Design priority, publication and protection term
Third-party opposition to the published registration is available for three months after publication. Where publication deferral is requested, the period may be deferred for up to thirty months from filing or priority, as applicable; the request and disclosure plan should be decided before filing.
