Your instruction and fee scope
Send a numbered schedule and consistent views for each design. The proposal identifies grouping, representations, priority and publication scope, with the official design sequence confirmed before filing.
Application structure review
We review the number of designs, product indications and image sets to determine the appropriate filing structure.
What the service covers
- Image and formalities review
- Product indication guidance
- Applicant and priority data checks
- Filing and official correspondence
Information we need
Send clear views of each design, product names, applicant details, designer information and priority documents if priority will be claimed.
Each image set must stand on its own
Grouping designs in one application does not remove the need for a clear representation of every design. We check view consistency, neutral backgrounds, product indications and whether visual disclaimers or omitted views could create ambiguity. We also review whether the proposed designs satisfy the applicable grouping conditions; where they do not, separate filings may provide a cleaner procedural route.
Clear scope before filing
We confirm the number of designs, filing approach, document requirements and fees before preparation begins.
Grouping requirements and documents for multiple designs
Except for ornamentation, the products to which the designs are applied or in which they are incorporated must belong to the same Locarno class. Being part of the same brand or commercial collection alone is not enough. We check the classification and applicable exception before grouping the designs.
Each design needs its own identifiable and internally consistent view set. Send a numbered schedule, images for every design, product indications, applicant and designer details, priority information and publication instructions. The final sequence is agreed before filing so future renewals or transfers identify the correct design.
