Your instruction and fee scope
Send the published design, publication date and dated earlier disclosures. We specify the designs challenged, grounds and supporting evidence before quoting preparation and filing.
Initial conflict assessment
We review the published design, earlier rights, disclosure materials and procedural deadline before recommending a filing strategy.
How we assist
- Publication and deadline review
- Earlier-design and evidence assessment
- Preparation of opposition grounds
- Filing and status reporting
Documents required
Send the contested application details, earlier designs or publications, dated evidence, ownership information and any relevant correspondence.
The comparison starts with the protected visual features
Before preparing an opposition, we identify which views and features define the overall impression and which elements may be dictated by technical function. The earlier disclosure, filing dates and ownership chain are then checked against the target registration. This creates a focused pleading supported by the right evidence, rather than a general statement that the designs look similar.
Case-specific proposal
The required evidence and scope vary by case. We provide a document list and fee proposal after the initial review.
Design opposition deadline and evidence checklist
An opposition against a published Turkish design registration is filed within three months from publication. This differs from an applicant’s appeal against a design examination decision, which generally has a two-month period from notification.
Send the published registration and individual design numbers, publication date, all contested views, earlier dated disclosures or right records and the basis of ownership. Evidence should identify what was disclosed, when and to whom; undated images alone may not establish an earlier disclosure.
