Patent Annual Fee Management in Turkey

Structured deadline tracking and payment reporting for Turkish patent portfolios.

Local representation in Turkey Serving applicants and IP firms worldwide
Quick answer

Under the current national regime, annual fees begin when the second year from filing ends, for the third year of protection, and recur on the corresponding month and day of filing. The priority date is not the ordinary annuity anniversary. For PCT, EP and older records, the applicable filing date, year and legal status are checked individually.

For a new Turkish patent application rather than annuity management, use our patent application and registration services in Turkey page for filing preparation, local representation and prosecution support.

Annuity management protects the Turkish patent record

Patent and utility model rights can lapse when required annual fees and related formalities are not handled on time. Portfolio data should therefore link each Turkish case with its filing date, current proprietor and payment history.

We verify the Turkish application or patent number, legal status, due period and any change in ownership or representative. Payment instructions are reported with enough lead time for discrepancies to be corrected.

Where responsibility moves between the proprietor, a foreign associate and Turkish counsel, the handover date and next unpaid annuity must be confirmed in writing. Duplicate payment assumptions and gaps in responsibility are common portfolio risks that a single verified schedule can prevent.

Your instruction and fee scope

Send the Turkish case number, fee year and previous receipts. We confirm the due period and payment scope before instruction; a late-payment or recovery review is identified separately.

Annual fee coordination

We review the right, annuity year and payment status before confirming the applicable official and professional fees.

Information we need

Send the Turkish application or patent number, owner details, requested annuity year and any previous payment information.

Portfolio instructions require verified case data

For each Turkish patent or application, we reconcile the official number, owner, fee year and relevant due date before payment. A portfolio schedule should also distinguish ordinary deadlines from cases that may be within a surcharge or restoration-related period. Our completion report records the cases instructed and paid, allowing the client or foreign associate to update its docket without relying on assumptions.

Clear reporting

We confirm the payment scope before instruction and provide a filing or payment report after completion.

Annual fee due dates and late payment in Turkey

Under the current national regime, annual fees begin when the second year from filing ends, for the third year of protection, and recur on the corresponding month and day of filing. The priority date is not the ordinary annuity anniversary. For PCT, EP and older records, the applicable filing date, year and legal status are checked individually.

An unpaid annual fee may be paid with a surcharge during the six months following its due date. If that period has passed, a separate legal-status and possible compensation or recovery review is required; an ordinary late payment should not be assumed to restore the right.

Send the Turkish case number, filing date, proprietor details, requested fee year and previous receipts. For EP or PCT cases, include the EP or international application number and relevant grant or entry data. The confirmation identifies the right and fee year actually paid.
